Prof. Dr. Ayşenur Meriç Hafız is an ENT and head and neck surgeon with clinical, academic and research experience. She graduated from Istanbul University’s Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1998 and completed her specialty training in 2003 at the II. ENT Clinic of Bezmialem Vakıf Gureba Training and Research Hospital.

In 2006–2007 she worked as a research fellow at the Cleveland Clinic Head & Neck Cancer Institute in the United States. Back in Türkiye, she served as assistant and then associate professor at Bezmialem University; in 2017 she joined Koç University Faculty of Medicine as professor, where she worked until 2021. Between 2017 and 2023 she completed a PhD in medical education at Marmara University.

Her main areas of interest are head and neck tumours, thyroid cancer, salivary gland tumours, neck masses, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and ultrasound-guided biopsy. Since 2022 she has seen patients at her private practice in Fulya, Beşiktaş.

She holds the Turkish ENT Board certification (2010, 2015, 2025) and the European ENT Board certification FEBORL-HNS (2011). She served as editor of the Turkish Archives of Otorhinolaryngology in 2012–2014 and has received three research awards from the Turkish Society of ENT and Head & Neck Surgery.
