Thyroid cancer typically does not cause any signs or symptoms in the early stages of the disease. As thyroid cancer grows, it may cause the following signs and symptoms:

• A lump in your neck that can be felt through the skin

• Changes to your voice, including increasing hoarseness

• Difficulty swallowing

• Pain in your neck and throat

• Swollen lymph nodes in your neck
